Pioneer Pastures protein shakes are lactose-free, not dairy-free. Made with real A2 dairy milk with the lactose removed, you get the full protein and nutrition of dairy without the discomfort.

What is A2 Protein?
A2 beta-casein is the original protein found in cow's milk. A genetic mutation in some dairy herds produced A1 beta-casein, which breaks down differently during digestion and is linked to the discomfort many people associate with dairy. Pioneer Pastures sources exclusively from A2 cows, so A1 was never part of the milk.

What is ultra-filtration?
Ultra-filtration passes milk through a fine membrane that concentrates protein and filters out most of the natural sugars. The result is 30g of protein per bottle with just 2g of sugar, resulting in significantly more protein and less sugar than conventional milk-based shakes.
